Lizzie Ball has performed worldwide as a solo artist , chamber musician and jazz/pop vocalist in most of the major concert halls and stadiums of UK, Europe and South America (including Southbank Centre, Wigmore Hall, Ronnie Scotts, Berlin Philharmonie, Teatro Colon Buenos Aires and many more.)

Collaborations have included solo concertos with Nigel Kennedy, Simply Red, Omara Portuondo, Nitin Sawhney, Meatloaf, Sir John Dankworth, Kanye West, Chuco Valdes, Airto Moreira, Jamie Cullum,, JLS, Britten Sinfonia and many more, performing for audiences ranging from 50 people to 36,000 people.

She was recently appointed concertmaster of Nigel Kennedy’s acclaimed new Orchestra of Life, and was subsequently invited to be concertmaster for Russell Watson’s acclaimed UK comeback tour earlier this year. Lizzie also made her debut last year as a vocal soloist with the Philharmonia Orchestra. She has been asked to lead subsequent tours for other major recording artists including Adele and George Michael.

She has recorded 6 albums to date, with her latin music-influenced groups Classico Latino, Eclectica and Machaca, aswell as her own solo album “You Held Me” released 2009. She plays regularly with her band at the famous Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club. Future plans include work with New York Polyphony and Nico Muhly, solo tours with Ronnie Scotts All Stars, and further work with Nigel Kennedy. Her second solo album is currently being recorded and will include a heavy latin folkloric influence.


Alex Garnett, often referred to as ‘Son‘ or ‘Sonny’ has been one of the leading saxophonists in the UK and Mainland Europe for over 2 decades, being instantly recognized by his dark, husky sound. He’s one of those players that everyone knows about and has deep respect for, who can do anything from the most burning straight ahead to free improvisation. A hugely versatile musician and first call sideman, he has enjoyed success as both a professional creative jazz artist, composer and arranger, and an in demand session, studio and commercial saxophonist, having racked up countless album sideman and recording credits along the way. Easily performing over 200 events a year with many of Europe’s leading big bands and creative jazz ensembles, he is also a regular sideman choice for many of the top visiting American jazz artists when touring in Europe, and has himself performed in over 30 countries worldwide appearing at such prestigious venues as the Blue Note, Birdland, as well as the Perugia, North Sea, Vittoria, Montreax, and Oslo Jazz Festivals to name but a few, with varied and diverse artists across the spectrum such as Sir John Dankworth, Wynton Marsalis, Pete King, Humphrey Littleton and many more.


JAMES PEARSON is one of the countries most respected musicians. His work covers all genres of music, especially contemporary music, jazz and classical. James has broadcast on all the major radio and television networks. Classic F.M broadcast his concert of Rachmaninoff’s 2nd piano concerto, and BBC Radio 2 broadcast his performance of the Gershwin Piano Concerto and Rhapsody in Blue. He was the pianist in the Steve Martland Band, and his work as a jazz musician has taken him all over the world. This year his trio The James Pearson Trio played a four night run in Birdland Jazz Club in New-York. His fine piano playing and arrangements can be heard on over 50 albums. James’s trio have played to unanimously jubilant audiences around the world, and following the tragic and untimely death of their beloved drummer Chris Dagley last year, they stoically continued to fly the flag of British jazz with the help of carefully chosen drumming talents and honour his memory to critical acclaim. Their album Swing the Club was voted on of the top 10 albums of 2009 by the Sunday Times. SAMUEL BURGESS is one of the UKs top bassists, having worked with pretty much everyone on the top end of UK jazz and pop scene, and young Portugese drummer PEDRO SEGUNDO fresh out of college, is a startling and prodigious talent who regularly brings the house down at Ronnies and elsewhere with his unique soloing.
